Merly Donesa,50, lives in the small village of Dahug in the Philippines where we are partnered with Potter’s Clay Baptist Church. Merly’s husband was a pedicab driver – essentially a taxi driver but powered by physical labor of moving the pedals – but became deaf and can no longer work. Merly’s daughter, Michelle, 24, has a kidney issue and requires frequent trips to the clinic for dialysis. Merly has used her micro-loan to launch a “sari sari store,” which is like a small convenience store with local staple goods, so that she can care for her family. Pictured below, Michelle sells street food and candies in their house. Please pray for Merly as she continues to build her business!
