Mercidita Marfil, 47, is married with 5 kids and lives in the small village of Dahug in the Philippines where we are partnered with Potter’s Clay Baptist Church. Mercidita’s husband is a pedicab driver – essentially a taxi driver but powered by physical labor of moving the pedals – and makes only about 50 cents a day, which is good for daily meals of rice and fish but not much else. They attend church weekly and desire to make a difference for their community and see their kids grow up to make a difference. She wants to start a “sari sari store,” which is like a small convenience store with local staple goods.
Please help Mercidita get her store started!
